B2K Development Joins the Long Beach Polar Bear Splash to Support Make-A-Wish
This past Sunday, the Long Beach Polar Bears gathered once again for the 25th Annual Polar Bear Splash, a beloved community tradition that unites thousands in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Metro New York and Western New York Chapter.
Braving icy waters at Laurelton Boulevard in Long Beach, participants took the plunge on the day of the big game, continuing a legacy of generosity, remembrance, and hope.
B2K Development, the visionary team behind Long Beach’s luxury oceanfront residences, The Boardwalk and The Breeze, proudly joined the event to show their support. While many plunged into the frigid Atlantic, representatives from B2k Development were on hand to keep spirits high, serving hot chocolate to participants and spectators on the boardwalk.
“Witnessing thousands of people come together on a snowy Sunday to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation was truly inspiring,” said Collin Gabriel, Vice President of Residential Management at B2K Development. “It’s truly an honor to contribute, even in such a small way, to our compassionate and dedicated community.”
The Polar Bear Splash is more than just an exhilarating winter tradition – it’s a heartfelt tribute to Paulie Bradley, a young boy who passed away in 1997 at just four years old and before he could receive his wish. In his memory, the Long Beach Polar Bears are “motivated by camaraderie, a touch of madness, and a common goal: to honor the memory of Paulie Bradley and to keep his young spirit alive in others.” Since its inception in 2000, the event has raised over $10 million to grand lift-changing wishes for children of our Metro New York region with critical illnesses. This year alone, the Polar Bear splash raised more than $485,000, continuing its powerful impact.
“The Polar Bear Splash is an iconic Long beach tradition for an incredible cause,” said Matthew Gelb, Leasing Professional at The Breeze Oceanfront Rentals.
B2K Development is honored to support this enduring effort, recognizing the strength, generosity, and warmth that define the Long Beach community. To learn more about the Long Beach Polar Bears and their mission, visit longbeachpolarbears.org.
