Northwell Health brought clinical and research expertise to help inform the campus’s approach to treatment and programming, grounding the development in the realities of recovery while allowing the physical environment to support those goals.

At Wellbridge, that philosophy extends well beyond the design of individual treatment spaces. The 96-acre campus was conceived to give patients opportunities to engage with life in ways that feel familiar, meaningful, and personal. Walking and biking trails, indoor serenity pools, and a 10,000-square-foot wellness and fitness center create opportunities for movement and physical well-being. Yoga and fitness programs, creative arts facilities, music rooms, and a ceramics studio invite exploration and self-expression. Recreational spaces, including a golf simulator and volleyball court, along with a hair and nail salon, add another dimension: the ordinary pleasures and interests that can become meaningful parts of rebuilding a sense of self.

Since opening in 2020, Wellbridge has served nearly 6,000 individuals, providing them and their families with access to a specialized recovery environment designed around both treatment and daily life.
The impact is also reflected in the people who work there. Approximately 30% of Wellbridge’s staff are themselves in recovery, bringing personal understanding of the experience into the community they help create each day.
